- You can choose static or dynamic code
Types of LINE links
Select the correct LINE screen you want to open after scanning
Each LINE link serves a different purpose. Please choose the correct link according to the instructions placed next to the code, avoid writing "Messaging" but the code only opens the profile page.
Personal friend invitation link
Copy the link from the My QR Code section in LINE so that your acquaintances can open your personal page and confirm themselves.
LINE Official Account page
Open the business account page; If the scanner has added an account, LINE can take them straight to the chat.
Chat with Official Account
Open the chat screen with LINE Official Account and can pre-fill a short sentence for users to check before sending.
Business profile or LINE VOOM
Lead to your business profile, LINE VOOM page, or a public post that matches the campaign content.
Share content via LINE
Prepare a sentence or link for the scanner to share with friends, chat groups or Keep Memo after reviewing.

Helps scanners find the right LINE account
LINE IDs can be entered incorrectly, many accounts use similar display names, and some people can't find you by ID. The QR code opens the correct invitation link or Official Account you selected. The scanner is still the one who decides whether to add accounts or send messages.
No need to enter LINE ID
One scan helps avoid confusing letters, numbers, @ signs or choosing the wrong account with a similar name.
Connect directly from the publication
Turn your desk card, invoice, packaging, or event board into a direct opening to your profile, friend step, or conversation.
Guests recognize the correct business account
Send visitors to the Official Account you manage instead of asking them to search through many results on their own.
Inside the QR code
Use supported LINE links, not admin screen URLs
The QR code stores a LINE HTTPS link. On iPhone and Android with LINE installed, the link can open on the correct screen in the application. If you don't have LINE installed or open it on your computer, the results may be a website, application installation instructions, or another QR code.
Prioritize HTTPS links starting with line.me
LINE instructions use addresses like https://line.me/R/. The old line:// form has been marked as deprecated and may not open or be handled by another application.
Personal accounts should copy the link from My QR Code
Open add friends and my QR Code in LINE and select Copy link. Do not auto-assemble the URL from the display name and do not assume that everyone can use the LINE ID search feature.
Official Account has an @ sign that needs to be encoded correctly
In the profile link or chat guided by LINE, the @ sign in the ID should be written as %40. For example @myshop becomes %40myshop.
Profile link, chat link and sharing link are not the same
Profile link opens Official Account page or existing chat; oaMessage link opens chat; Share link Prepare content to share. Choose the right type according to the action you want your visitors to take.
Phones and computers may display differently
Links to open LINE features are mainly supported on iOS and Android. On a computer, the Official Account link can open a public business profile or only display a QR code, depending on the verification status and profile settings.
Privacy needs to be considered before printing publicly
Personal friend links placed on the Internet or public boards may be copied and shared outside the intended group. For customer campaigns, you should use LINE Official Account instead of personal accounts.
For example, LINE Official Account link
Official Account ID: @myshop — https://line.me/R/ti/p/%40myshop — Supported phones open the Official Account page in LINE. If the person scanning is already a friend of the account, LINE can open the chat directly.
Check before publishing
- Open the link before generating the code and check the correct name and profile picture of the account.
- Try on both iPhone and Android with LINE installed.
- Try it on a phone that doesn't have LINE installed to see if the backup page or application installation instructions are easy to understand.
- Don't use URLs for admin screens, previews, or pages that can only be opened by the account owner.
- If the Official Account ID begins with an @ sign, use the form %40 in the link according to LINE's instructions.
- Don't use the old line:// format for a new print campaign.
- Re-scan after changing ID, verification status, public profile, or campaign content.
8 things to note before printing LINE QR codes
LINE links are usually not too long, but the code can still be confusing if you copy the wrong account, the logo covers too many boxes, or the instructions next to it do not match the screen that opens.
Choose actions before designing
Determine whether the scanner needs to add friends, view Official Account, open chat or share content. Then copy the corresponding LINE link type.
Keep HTTPS links clear
Use invitation link or official line.me link. Only remove tracking after checking that the shortened link still opens to the correct account and on the correct screen.
Use LINE blue but must have enough contrast
Dark blue codes can be used on white or very light backgrounds. Do not use a bright green QR box on a colored background or photo because it is difficult for the camera to recognize the boundary.
Keep the LINE logo small
Place the small logo in the middle, without covering the three large squares in the corner, and choose the appropriate error correction level. Re-scan after each logo style or size change.
Leave a white area around the code
Keep at least four spaces open on all four sides. Lines like “Add LINE” or “Message us” must be outside this range.
Select size according to scanning distance
The code on the receipt or desk card is scanned nearby. Codes on glass doors, signs or event walls need to be larger and have less decorative details around them.
Check both with and without LINE installed
Try on iPhone, Android and a device that doesn't have the app installed. Each case must help the user understand the next step.
Use dynamic code if the campaign can change
Choose dynamic codes when accounts are promoted, chat actions or campaign content can be redeemed after panels and packaging have been printed.
