A Wi-Fi QR code allows users to scan the code to quickly connect to a Wi-Fi network without manually entering the network name and password.
Steps to Follow
- Visit the website qrcode-gen.com.
- Select the QR Code generation feature.
- On the QR code creation screen, select the Wi-Fi tab.
- In the Enter Wi-Fi name (SSID) section, enter the Wi-Fi network information:
- Wi-Fi Name (SSID): enter the exact name of the Wi-Fi network to connect to.
- Password: enter the password for the Wi-Fi network.
- Encryption Type: select the security type of the network, for example, WPA/WPA2.
- Click Generate QR Code.
- The QR code will appear in the preview area on the right side of the screen.
- You can open the Title & description section to add a name or notes for the QR code.
- You can open the Customize QR Code section to change the appearance of the QR code, such as color, shape, frame, or logo.
- Adjust the QR Size using the slider, for example, from 200px to 1000px.
- Select the download format:
- PNG
- SVG
- EPS
- If you want to save the code to your account, click Save Code.
- Click Download in your chosen format, for example, Download (PNG).
- Use the QR code to print at reception desks, meeting rooms, restaurants, cafes, hotels, or share it with Wi-Fi guests.
Notes
- You must enter the Wi-Fi Name (SSID) accurately, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, spaces, and special characters if applicable.
- You must select the correct Encryption Type according to your Wi-Fi network configuration.
- If the Wi-Fi network has no password, select the appropriate encryption type for an open network if supported by the system.
- Wi-Fi QR codes are typically static codes, meaning the network information is stored directly within the QR code.
- If you change the Wi-Fi name or password, you must generate a new QR code.
- It is recommended to test the QR code with a phone before printing or sharing it to ensure it connects to the correct network.
