A Facebook QR code is used to direct scanners to a Facebook page, post, or to create a share button. Since this is essentially a URL, users can create it as either a static QR code or a dynamic QR code depending on their needs.
Static vs. Dynamic QR Codes for Facebook
- Static QR code: The Facebook link is embedded directly into the QR code. Once created and downloaded, you must generate a new QR code if you need to change the link.
- Dynamic QR code: The QR code leads to an intermediate system link, which then redirects to the Facebook URL. This allows you to manage, track scan counts, and update the destination link after creation.
Use a dynamic QR code if you need to track scans, manage campaigns, or anticipate changing the Facebook link in the future. Use a static QR code if you only need to quickly generate a permanent code.

Notes
- Facebook links should start with
https://facebook.com/orhttps://www.facebook.com/. - If you need to manage and edit the link later, you should create a dynamic QR code.
- If you only need a fixed link, you can use a static QR code for quick generation.
- For dynamic QR codes, you must be logged in to save and manage your codes.
- Always test scan the QR code before printing or sharing to ensure the link opens the correct Facebook page or post.
