Categories help restaurants organize dishes/products into groups, for example: main courses, drinks, desserts, combos, new items, or promotions. Creating clear categories helps customers easily find items when viewing the digital menu.
1. Accessing Category Management
- Log in to menu.nineqr.com using the account registered on QRCODE-GEN.
- Open the restaurant menu you wish to edit.
- In the category section, click the three-dot icon on the right.
- The system will display the following options:
- Add category: add a new category.
- Edit category: edit an existing category.
2. Adding a New Category
- Click the three-dot icon.
- Select Add category.
- The Add category window will appear.
- Enter the category information:
- Category name: the name of the category.
- Display order: the display sequence of the category on the menu.

- Click ADD CATEGORY to save the new category.
- If you do not wish to add a category, click CANCEL to close the window.
3. Editing a Category
- Click the three-dot icon in the category section.
- Select Edit category.
- Select the category you wish to edit if the system displays a list of categories.
- Update the necessary information:
- Category name.
- Display order.
- Click the save/update button to complete the changes.
4. Field Definitions
- Category name: the category name displayed on the digital menu for customers.
- Display order: the sorting order of the category. Lower numbers will be displayed first.

Notes
- Category names should be concise and easy to understand.
- Categories should be arranged in the order customers typically browse the menu.
- Avoid creating too many categories if the menu has few items.
- After adding or editing a category, it is recommended to reopen the menu page to verify the display order.
- When adding dishes/products, ensure you select the correct category so the menu is displayed clearly.
