Guide to Adding and Editing Products/Menu Items

Products/menu items are the dishes, drinks, or services displayed in a restaurant's online menu. Users can add new items, edit information, update images, set prices, and manage the display status of each product.

1. Adding a New Product

  1. Log in to menu.nineqr.com using the account registered on QRCODE-GEN.
  2. Open the restaurant menu you wish to manage.
  3. In the item list area, click the Add new item box with the plus icon.
  4. The Add new item window will appear.
  5. Click Click to add images to upload product photos.
  6. Enter the product details in the Menu Item Information section:
    • Item name: name of the dish/product.
    • Price: selling price.
    • Currency: currency unit.
    • Category: product category.
    • Description: description of the dish/product.

  1. Toggle the product's display status using the switch in the bottom-left corner:
    • On: the product is visible on the menu.
    • Off: the product is temporarily hidden from the menu.

  1. Click ADD NEW ITEM to save the new product.
  2. If you do not wish to add the product, click CANCEL to close the window.

2. Editing an Existing Product

  1. In the product list, select the product you want to edit.
  2. Open the product action menu or click on the product to open the Edit menu item window.
  3. Update the necessary information:
    • Product image.
    • Dish/product name.
    • Price.
    • Currency.
    • Category.
    • Description.
    • Display status.

  1. You can add new images using the image upload icon in the image section.
  2. You can select existing images to change the primary display image if supported by the system.
  3. Once editing is complete, click SAVE to save the changes.
  4. If you do not want to save the changes, click CANCEL.

3. Field Definitions

  • Item name: the name of the dish or product displayed to customers.
  • Price: the selling price of the product.
  • Currency: the displayed currency type, e.g., $ (USD).
  • Category: the group the product belongs to, e.g., main courses, drinks, desserts.
  • Description: a short description of the product, ingredients, or notes.
  • Images: representative images to help customers easily identify the dish.
  • Display switch: controls whether the product appears on the online menu or not.

Notes

  • It is recommended to use clear, accurate images of the dishes with appropriate dimensions.
  • Dish names should be concise and easy to understand.
  • Ensure the price is entered correctly before saving.
  • Select the correct category so customers can easily find items.
  • You can temporarily hide out-of-stock items instead of deleting them.
  • After adding or editing a product, check the online menu to verify how the information appears to customers.
